Advent Aftercare

Aftercare Program

Aftercare, is an educational program designed to include socialization, recreation, and homework time in a Christ-centered environment. Aftercare is open to all Advent Elementary & Middle School students and is located in the Advent Enrichment Center building at the southwest end of campus. A variety of after-school activities are also provided to add enrichment to your child’s day.

After-school Dismissal Procedure:

ALL kindergarten through middle school carlines close promptly at 3:10PM, with the exception of inclement weather dismissal procedures. Once the bell rings at 3:10PM, ALL students not picked up in the carline will be dropped off by teachers under the pavilion to meet their assigned grade-level counselors to be checked into Aftercare for attendance.

There will only be a 5 MINUTE grace-period in which students can be picked up from the “Surf Shack” gate entrance once the student’s designated carline is closed. IF students are not picked up at the “Surf Shack” gate by 3:15PM, the student(s) will be checked into Aftercare. Parent(s)/Guardian(s): please plan accordingly to avoid Aftercare fees.

Pick Up Procedure:

Please park (parking lot faces North Dixie Highway) in front of the Advent Enrichment Center building located at the southwest end of campus. Walk up to the “Surf Shack” frosted double glass doors under the metal awning and swipe the doorbell to notify the Aftercare office staff. Aftercare staff will radio your student(s) for dismissal.

Ensure “Authorized Emergency & Pick Ups” are correct and current on FACTS. IF a person arrives to pick up a student and is not listed in FACTS, the parent(s)/guardian(s) will be directly contacted and Aftercare staff will require identification from the person picking up before releasing the student(s). IF asked to show ID, please know it’s part of our mission to keep everyone safe, especially as we welcome new students, teachers, and staff to our Advent family.
