About Advent Lutheran Early Childhood School

The Early Childhood School was founded in 1968 by the members of Advent Lutheran Church in response to the community's need for high quality Christian education. Advent's Christ-centered approach to learning has provided a strong educational and spiritual foundation for thousands of children in a loving and nurturing environment.

We offer:

  • Child-centered facilities in a loving, neighborhood setting.
  • Infant and toddler programs for children as young as 6 weeks old, 7:30am - 5:30pm, five days per week.
  • Early morning half-day classes, half-day classes with mid-morning start, and full extended day programs from 7:30am - 5:30pm for children 2 years to pre-kindergarten age.
  • Experienced staff members excited about sharing the love of Christ.
  • Accredited programs with focus on age-appropriate skills and centers of discovery.
  • Teaching techniques that emphasize process rather than product.
  • Physical education, music, Spanish, computer, and early literacy classes.
  • Ongoing church and school-sponsored parenting workshops and programs for all family members.
  • Extracurricular programs including dance/tumbling, and karate for 3-4 year olds.

The Early Childhood School has dual accreditation through the Florida-Georgia District, Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement.   All Early Childhood teachers meet or exceed Florida standards for Early Childhood educators and maintain teaching excellence through in-service training, workshops and continuing education courses.
